After 17 months, countless rave reviews and over 200,000 audience members at EMPIRE, we here at Spiegelworld are convinced you Aussies just can’t get enough of us (and who could blame you?). So, hot on the embellished heels of our sister show, we’ve partnered with Nine Live to bring you another sexy spiegeltent experience…

What is it?

Like our highly alcoholic, anise-flavoured namesake, Absinthe is a sexy, intoxicating show you’ll want to share with all your friends. Inspired by the cabarets of late 19th century Europe and containing dashes of circus, spoonfuls of burlesque and splashes of vaudeville, Absinthe offers a little bit of everything for anyone who loves a good time and a great show.

Our world-class performers deserve nothing but a world-class stage and, for those of you who are yet to experience it, we can guarantee the spiegeltent is worthy of their fabulousness. With 700 plush velvet seats that somehow all deliver on the intimacy front, bevelled mirrors, antique interiors and a well-stocked bar, our spiegeltent is as striking as they come.

Watch a sneak peek here… you know we love to tease!

What are people saying?

After several hot summers in New York City and a four-year-long residency in the forecourt of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, we’ve gathered together our fair share of reviews from Yanks who have truly seen it all. Here’s a little sample from our brag book…

The Huffington Post boldly proclaimed, “If you only see one show in your entire life, make it Absinthe.”

Las Vegas Review-Journal called us “the naughty new kid on the block” and described our show as “hip and edgy, with breathtaking circus acts and a dash of raunch”.

“The rollicking, rambunctious show lives up to its spirited namesake,” begins The Las Vegas Dance Insider. “[It’s] equal parts lowbrow humour and high-flying acro, mixed well and poured over a sugar cube of incredible talent.” Delicious!

When and where?

Absinthe is still calling Las Vegas’s Caesars Palace home for a little while, but we’re beginning to run a little low on chips. You can save yourself an airfare and look forward to our Down Under season, which is set to kick off in February 2015. We guarantee it will be the sexiest experience you’ve ever had in a tent.
